Mogwai drummer to auction pacemaker on eBay

Published October 2nd, 2007

Mogwai drummer Martin Bulloch is set to auction his pacemaker.

Bulloch underwent surgery to have a new pacemaker fitted and is currently recuperating, but he’s auctioning his old pacemaker on eBay eBay.

Proceeds are set to go to the British Heart Foundation.

Speaking about the auction Martin said: “Selling my old pacemaker may be seen by some as a bit of a macabre idea, but if it helps the British Heart Foundation in its aim and ultimately raises a bit of cash for their ongoing work then I am more than happy to contribute.

“[Mogwai] have also decided that, along with the pacemaker, we will throw in a couple of access areas passes for the winner, for the Mogwai show nearest to them along with other assorted goodies. Happy bidding.”

Details of the auction can be seen on the band’s Myspace.com/mogwai.
