Prawn auctions at Fraserburgh started today, one day later than scheduled.

A spokesman for Fraserburgh Inshore Fishermen said that the sale from a landing by the Gratitude had been “really good.”

He added that there were big prices which was a good indicator for the future of the auctions.

Prices quoted included large, from £148-£132 per box, small from £88-£70 and tails from £106-£104.
