Shropshire auctioneers move blocked

Halls, based at Welsh Bridge, have been refused an outline application to create new purpose-built auction rooms at Shrewsbury’s livestock market.

The application was for a two-storey, 1,850 square metre building for use as a fine art and general sale auction room with storage and office space.

Halls says it has outgrown the present Welsh Bridge offices and saleroom and it wants to establish Shrewsbury as a regional centre following the recent merger with national property company, Humberts.
