Dinosaur skeleton not sold at Paris auction
Published April 17th, 2008
A Triceratops skeleton failed to reach it’s reserve price at a Christie’s auction in Paris on Wednesday after a top bid of 490,000 euros (782,000 dollars).
Christie’s said it would listern to post-auction offers for the massive three-horned dinosaur specimen that was the star attraction at the paleontology auction.
The skeleton of the triceratops, which roamed the Earth some 65 million years ago, was only the second dinosaur fossil of this size ever to go under the hammer.
