Pandolfini Antique Paintings, Furnitures and Accessories Auctions

The Fine Art Auction House Pandolfini ends the 2008 activities with two sessions, which will be held at the Palazzo Ramirez - Montalvo from 16th to 17th December 2008.
Tuesday 16th December will be held the first fine art auction in Italy. The session Silver, coins, jewellery and watches starts with a collection of coins composed by up to 25 lots; amongst them, the lot of the Kingdom of Naples and Sicily from Charles II to Ferdinand II of Borbone (estimated 8.000/10.000 Euros), 5 lire coin of 1859 Mint of Bologna (estimated 5,000 Euros); a very rare coin, issued by a decree of Emilia Romagna of 17th January 1860, the House of Savoy - Vittorio Emanuele II the elected King (1859-1861); also a batch comprising 5 lire silver coin of 1869-1871-1872-1873-1875-1876-1877-1878, Mint of Rome (estimated 3,000 Euros). The rare batch (coined only 100 copies) is 20 lire in Silver 1927 (estimated 6000 Euros), Year V - Models by Giuseppe Romagnoli, Engraving by Attilio Motti, Kingdom of Italy - Vittorio Emanuele III (1900-1946).
Amongst the gems to be mentioned the Bulgari Turbogás Snake Watch, yellow gold and steel (estimated 5/6.000 Euros); a yellow- gold, diamond ring, shaped rounded band with heart profile, decorated with three inlaid diamonds, approx. 6 carats (estimated 13/15.000 Euros).
On Wednesday 17th, the auction continue with an auction of antique furniture and furnishings. Amongst these are to be mentioned a large cabinet of 1700 in Lombardo style, inlaid walnut wood and partly carved, with a rectangular top (estimated 8/10.000 Euros) and a Neapolitan Console half of the XVIII century, carved and gilded wood Mecca, with Bardiglio marble top (estimated 10/15.000 Euros).
The art auctions in Italy close on Wednesday, 17th December with a session dedicated to the ancient paintings. To be mentioned a portrait of a young girl in a white dress, oil on canvas credited to Martin Drolling (Oberbergheim 1752 - Paris 1817) estimated 20/30.000 Euros; an oil on canvas by a Flemish painter of the XVII century, hunting wild boar in a snow landscape, estimated 8/12.000 Euros; a composition of flowers with parrot, credited to the Master of flowers Guareschi (eighteenth century), estimated 11-13.000 Euros.
